The Wonderful Life of a GRANDSUN Rising Star
Sales Director / Huang Wei lun
In the past, I was a young man who had dreams but didn't dare to pursue them. Since I was a child, I've always regarded money as more important than my life, and my values towards money were different from those of ordinary young people. In the GRANDSUN business, I saw many people running their businesses without worrying about money at all. I just couldn't imagine that at all. When I was in primary school, I couldn't even pay the class fee of NT$50 on time. I always waited until the last day to ask my mother for the money. Whenever I saw nice pencils, erasers, pencil cases, schoolbags, clothes, or shoes that I liked, I would save NT$5 or NT$10 from my breakfast or lunch money, even if it meant going hungry, just to buy them.
From Disbelief to Deep Belief
I never asked my family for pocket money from childhood to adulthood. Pocket money was a luxury for me. I will always remember October 11, 2005, the day I went to serve in the military. I took the train to the military camp all by myself, without any family members by my side. Because my father was ill, I had to give up my studies and serve in the military earlier to go back home and help out. What's more, I never expected that my father would pass away less than three months after I joined the army. My god! This was like a bolt from the blue for me. How could this happen? Besides giving up my studies and hobbies, I also had to face a debt of more than NT$10 million when I entered society. My life really hit rock bottom. I thought about giving up my life several times, but every time I thought of my mother, I gave up that idea.
In fact, my father had already been exposed to the GRANDSUN business before his death. It was introduced by my godmother (Director Du Jinlian). My father bought the GRANDSUN SG-2000 to solve my sister's menstrual pain problem and also started to operate the business at the same time. At that time, my father could invite more than twenty people a day to come and experience the product. While I was the one who was scrubbing the bathtub in the bathroom. The smell from the cleaning made my face stink. So, not to mention getting involved in the GRANDSUN business, it was impossible for me to even take a bath at home. I still took a quick 3-minute shower every day.
It wasn't until I felt unwell and suffered from Gaohuang pain (Note). I went to see a Western doctor and took muscle relaxants. I felt lazy all over my body for more than a month. Then I turned to traditional Chinese medicine, trying hot compresses, massages, acupuncture, and cupping, but there wasn't much improvement. I also wanted to prove that the SG-2000 had "no effect", so I gave it a try. I soaked in water at a high temperature of 42°C for 15 minutes continuously for more than two weeks. Amazingly, my Gaohuang pain disappeared without taking any medicine.
Ordinary Achieves the Extraordinary
In 2007, the GRANDSUN company held an international spa seminar. Director Du Jinlian kept coming to my home to share information about this conference. My mother decided to pay for me to attend it. At that time, all I could think was: This was my first time going abroad. Whether it was for classes or training, as long as I didn't have to go to work, take care of the store, or move and deliver goods, I would be happy. I really had a great time in the first two days. On the third day, the GRANDSUN company asked me to represent Taiwan and go on stage to read a passage from the GRANDSUN classics. When I stood on that stage, I was deeply shocked. I looked around and saw more than a thousand people. There were people from all over the world, including doctors, lawyers, accountants, and many business leaders, bosses, and successful people. I asked myself two questions: Who am I? What qualifications do I have to stand here? I was only 22 years old at that time. Why should so many people listen to my sharing? At 22, what ability did I have to own this international stage and business? I, Huang Weilun, graduated from a vocational high school, didn't know English, and only saved NT$50,000 after being discharged from the army. Not to mention running an international business, I couldn't even set up a roadside stall. The GRANDSUN business gave me a platform, a really great opportunity, allowing an ordinary person with no special conditions to have a chance to turn things around. That's when I decided to invest myself in the GRANDSUN business.
Since I started operating the GRANDSUN business, I've experienced all kinds of emotions, tasted the bitterness and sweetness of life. I remember that many directors would share with me before I started: "Weilun, you're 22 years old now. Even if you don't have any connections or foundation, if it takes others 3 to 5 years to become a director, and it takes you 10 years, you'll only be 32 years old then. By that time, you can become a director in others' eyes and achieve an extraordinary life." That was something I really longed for. Unexpectedly, it only took me 5 years to become a director. I also became the youngest director in Taiwan.
In these five years, I kept learning and working hard. I went through setbacks, difficulties, and tests. There were times when I thought about giving up. It really wasn't easy at all. I want to work hard for three to five years to achieve what others take thirty to fifty years to accomplish. So, I have to pay a higher price than others. I have to endure strange looks, ridicule, and sarcasm from others, and even face more embarrassing situations. Because flowers grow up with cold water. Every step I take brings me one step forward. Without the support and opposition from everyone in the GRANDSUN business, I wouldn't be who I am today.
In the days to come, I will help more people, just like me, to realize their own dreams. I also believe that becoming a director is just the beginning of my journey in the GRANDSUN business. From now on, I will step into the most wonderful part of my life!
Note: Gaohuang refers to the area between the two shoulder blades on the back. Traditional Chinese medicine classifies the pain in this area as Gaohuang pain. Gaohuang pain is often accompanied by headaches, neck and shoulder pain, and lower back pain. In severe cases, it can also be accompanied by symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, palpitations, restlessness, and tinnitus.
